    Hi all,

I'm off to NY next to visit family. I have a British, Irish and Aussie SIM cards for my phone for when I visit any of these countries for an extended period of time. I've done a bit of surfing and found this deal for tmobile which includes a phone

    http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Detail.aspx?class=prepaid&device=3456bf6e-3e50-406d-8478-c81b4845789e

Any comments on this?? What I would really like is a pay and go sim card which will work in a GSM phone in NY, Does anyone have any ideas??

    Thanks,

    Darren

If you have a triband unlocked phone t-mobile $50 anytime 400 minutes is the best deal. Tried this two years ago. Not very good coverage but reasonable in the eastcoast. I am not sure whether you pay another $20 for the sim. The nokia 6030 deal you still have to buy the minutes, I think.

Mobile phone coverage in the US has improved a lot in the past 2 years. It's still not as good as it is in Europe, but it's getting better all the time.
