Working Visa/PPS No.

    Hello.

    My g/f has a friend over from Australia. He has his working visa all sorted, so he all above board.

    At the moment, he is staying in a hostel, before he gets sorted with work & proper accommodation.

    He wants to use our address for his PPS No. application.


    Will we be doing anything illegal by saying he is living at our address, even though he isn't ?

    Can we just say that we know him & approve of him using our address?

    lastly, surely there is some Setup for people in his case ... Can't get an address without a PPS, can't get a PPS with an address ...

    In my opinion it shoudnt be a problem.

    PPS is just for registerin him in Tax office and Social Welfare.

    There shouldnt be a problem once he has his place he can change his address.

    I know loads of people doing this and never heard of any problem.

    So as long as he is a sane person i think there should be no problem.

    My boyfriend had a similar catch 22 dilemma last Month. What we did was get a bill with my name, and a letter from me stating he is living at my address, I went into the Dept of Social and Family affairs with him with my ID and had the PPS within a week.
