So the Russians are smarter than they look!

    There could be a war.

Daddy Bauer has the circuit board and still wants the grandson back.

    What's Doyle up to?

Next week is a 2hr season finale. (every fcking program seems to be having their finales atm)

Ive seen the preview. Its gonna be good

Very good ep, really enjoyed the part where Jack got Josh back from the Chinese in the building. Of course Chang got away without any hassle, another CTU "perimeter" breached once again.
Great line by Daniels:"We're about to go to war over a piece of circuitry".
Well Britain and Argentina went to war 25 years ago over a bunch of rocks in the South Atlantic!
I knew that trying to fool Zhuvarov wouldn't work, the 2 hour finale will have Jack trying to find Chang so he can find Daddy Bauer before Daniels hands Josh over to him.
I bet it will end with Jack having to pop his pop (so to speak) in order to save his nephew. Saw the preview, it doesn't tell us much (apart from one thing:
    Buchanan is back.

Morris and Nadia managing to beat up trained mercenaries had me holding my head in my hands. Jack's kill-while-sliding made up for it though.

Well I think most of the CTU people have been trained to defend themselves. In past seasons Tony Almeida and Michelle Deisler were fairly handy in a scrap. I agree that Morris taking a guy out was a bit far-fetched though!

He should of gauged the guys eyes out....... he had him in a headlock of sorts

bit violent, but at least it would of been believable

    Wasnt that farfetched

a sleeper hold aint so hard to do, expecially for a big guy like Maurice, and I'm sure they were all pumpin the aul adrenaline at that time

Nadia seemed believable too, like, she wasnt as good as the others. Nice little ambush right there

I think Michelle in Season 3 was the biggest shock every, that was just class

So Phillip Bauer uses about 12 mercenaries to break kiddie Bauer out of CTU so he can move to china to continue the Bauer legacy? I love this show, but Jesus, this is a stretch, even for 24.

The finale better have one huge mofo twist at the end to make up for the last few episodes. 1/5.

I enjoyed this one. Jack pursuing Cheng and getting Josh back, and the scene with Bishop and Lisa Miller.

Unfortunately there was that all-too-familiar Division big-wig coming down to berate CTU and its operations. Makes me chuckle when I think of the South Park parody.

    "Who's in charge here?"

    "I am!"

    "Not anymore, you're not."

    Anyway, 3/5.

    Delighted it's a 2 hour finale.

This was a definite improvement on last week, but still not that great. It felt a lot like classic 24 when Jack was chasing Chang and co around, if we just forget how the story got here that is. 3/5 for me, hope the finale has something special in it or this will be one of the more disappointing seasons.

A reasonably good episode this week.

Anyone else think that Lennox was a bit of a perv watching Bishop and Millar "going at it" :D

Daddy Bauer seems to have lost the plot with this "legacy" for Josh. The way he is going, he will be the cause of the young lad's death IMO.

Its setting up the last 2 hours as an all out confrontation between Jack and Philip and a chase for Jack to get Josh back.

It was good solid action packed Jack centric 24.

The vice-president is quite interesting to watch and the actor who plays Subarov did a good job of heightening the drama. Lennox's facial expressions are a continuing source of amusement too.

The twist at the end with Doyle and Jack's nephew sets thing up nicely for next week.

    The episode's weakness?

Unfortunately there was that all-too-familiar Division big-wig coming down to berate CTU and its operations. .

I'm looking forward to the finale... and the end of this season.

    No.

    Just no.

Chen hired Phillip Bauer to fix the FB sub circut board. Bauer's requested payment was that his grandson, currently in CTU, would be brought to him, and they would both be given passage to China (and probably a fairly nice job..) Phillip Bauer was not able to go t CTU, given the circumstances, so it is not THAT far fetched, really.

Also, I would not be at all shocked if Phillip Bauer turned out to be the kids dad. Looks a lot more like Phillip then the short arse we currently know/knew as his dad, and the mother seemed a bit worried that Phillip has said something else to the kid. It would also explain why Phillip wants him with him so badly.

If he'd waited 10 minutes he'd have been able to get him at home as CTU were releasing them. It wouldn't have fit into a neat 1 hour time slot though.

I had a feeling from the beginning that Josh would turn out to be Jack's son, what with the apparent history between Jack and freaky eyed woman who's name I forget. Josh also bears more of a resemblance to Jack than Graham.
