Ok so anytime I try to connect to any room online I get a message saying "Failed to enter room". I think it could be to do with my router/connection settings. Using a Netopia router with eircom. Strange thing is I don't have a problem surfing the net on the console or using the store. Here are some details:

    PS3 Connection Test:
    Obtain IP Address: Succeeded
    Internet Connection: Succeeded
    Playstation Network: Succeeded
    UPnP: Not Available
    NAT Type: Failed

The connection to the server timed out. (80130203)

    PS3 Connection Status List:
    Internet Connection: Enabled
    Connection Method: Wireless
    Signal Strength: 100%
    SSID: ~~~~
    BSSID: 00:0F:CC:9A:0A:5-
    Channel: 7
    Security: WEP
    WEP KEY: ~~~~~
    Address Settings: Automatic
    IP Address: 192.168.1.4
    Subnet MaskL 255.255.255.0
    Default Router: 192.168.1.254
    Primary DNS: "
    Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
    MAC Address: 00:19:C5:59:12:CA
    MTU: Automatic
    Proxy Server: Do Not Use
    UPnP: Not available
    NAT Type: Type 3

    Ideas anyone??

you probably have to forward the correct ports to the ps3 or enable upnp

the ports should be on the sony web site

did u fix the problem? i had the same problems and fixed it myself yesterday, no thanks to a router manufacturer who had me on the phone for 3 hours and couldnt fix it.

maybe a sticky is in order??? cuz this is a really common problem with the PS3 and wireless routers
