    Hi,

Can anybody suggest a good site that might help me what's causing my computer to hang on boot up?

It hangs before the bios. basically it does nothing except turn on the "power on" led which leads me to suspect its the motherboard or cpu.

    Thanks,

    theCzar

You could check the RAM, remove a stick and see if there is any difference.

Try reseting the cmos. Either by shorting the jumper or taking out the cmos battery (small round battery 1€ sized) for a few mins. Obviously make sure the power cable is pulled out from the psu first.
