I don't know if Roy played well or badly, but who cares. He got the money.

Roy knocked me out of so many tourneys in the Merrion it was unreal. I used to send emails to him on the Ladbrokes site complaining about it.

This forums gone to the dogs, its allways been a nice community with good content and a nice view into the local scene.

Now its similar to 2+2 in many ways, we have loads of new posters with the american slang no decorum **** that you get over there except at least the guys on 2+2 talk some good theory allong with the annoying "ship it holla nalla esque" launguage sh1te, the new posters on this forum dont seem to have any sort of clue (and some of the older posters too). Every second thread is "I have AA KK and someone has pushed on the flop etc blah blah blah". I appreciate that everyone has to learn etc but honestly, how long does it take people to learn basic card sense?

Most of the posters that I would have watched out for, post very little anymore in fact not at all in some cases and the forum in general seems to offer very little educational value to any player above average level. The forum is still fun but basically only because we all tend to know each other, however as the new to old poster ratio increases I imagine it will stop even having that attraction for me. Its probably just the way things go with communities such as this one and maybe when the current crop of new posters (who for the most part seem like they have very little more than comedy value to offer) learn a bit more about the game the forum will actually become decent again.

The FT threads are old and boring, hearing that a local on the scene had a nice touch is worthy of posting imo and well done to Roy.
