Canadian Money Order

    Hi,
    Iam trying to rent a summer house in Canada.
    The landlord has told me that he will only accept a canadian money order.

    Is it possible to get one from an Irish bank(AIB)?
    Can you tell me what exactly it is and what information I will need to get one, it is for CAD2000.

    It's a bank draft but in canadian money. Your bank should be able to do it for you. I get them in all kind of currencies for work.

    I assume he's looking for a Bank Draft made out in Canadian dollars. Just ask in the bank or ring them.

    As the others have said, go to your bank and tell them you want an International Bank Draft for CAN$2,000. They'll do the exchange rate/bank fees sums and charge you whatever it comes to in Euros.
    You'll need to have the name and address of the recipient for the paperwork.
    They'll give you the Draft (a glorified cheque) for you to complete your transaction.
