A friend of mine has recently moved into a new apartment in the popintree area. These apartments were built by Ballymun regeneration Ltd.She's in situ about 9 months and has noticed the inside of the kettle, and the inside of the toilet cistern to be bright green. This doesnt appear to be from algal growth or anything like that but something in the water itself, even the shower curtain has turned green.Does anybody know what would be causing this problem,if its harmfull and if anything can be done?

"Green" .... I wonder if it might be copper? .....

Yeah - copper. Sounds like it has oxidised for some reason. Maybe a pH imbalance or cleaning agents... Best check with DCC and have a water test performed to check for the copper and lead content. (Lead from the piping joints)
