Sony docking stations

We have a Sony laptop and docking station here and when docked there is no option to undock from the start menu so the user has been just taking it straight out. I figure windows must need to be reinstalled or something. Or does sony have some sort of "hot dock" function?? Hardly..

I have a viao at home. And as far as i cam remember the is something about docking in the viao control panel. Im not 100% sure, but i will check when i get home.
