Sony docking stations

We have a Sony laptop and docking station here and when docked there is no option to undock from the start menu so the user has been just taking it straight out. We have a Sony laptop and docking station here and when docked there is no option to undock from the start menu so the user has been just taking it straight out. Because of this I cannot configure different settings for monitors as Windows doesn't know when its docked and undocked.

I figure windows must need to be reinstalled or something. Or does sony have some sort of "hot dock" function?? Hardly..

I have a viao at home. And as far as i cam remember the is something about docking in the viao control panel. Im not 100% sure, but i will check when i get home.
