Marmaris, Turkey. Anyone been there before??

    So, I booked my holiday yesterday, and we decided on Marmaris, Turkey.
    We are going for 7 days, from 2nd June.

    I have never been to Turkey before and I am really looking forward to it.

    Much like my 'Zakynthos' thread, I was just wondering if any of you could share some experiences of Marmaris with me.

    god thats weird - was just talking to someone who might want me to go there with them on the second too. odd. Anyway I've been there before. Very nice long beach, bit over crowded but what you would imagine from a holiday resort. Big long nightlife strip on the beach with usual pub/clubs. The food in Turkey isn't all that great. They tend to have the same food in every restaurant but its fine. I think there is lots of fresh fish. Overall I enjoyed it. You'll probs like it :)

    well there are usually boat trips and that to go on but it's a holiday resort like so there's not that much to do. If your into that then Id go to Kusadassi coz ephesus is close by etc. To be honest Im not mad on holiday resorts but as far as they go Marmaris is fine. Its not full of chavs or kacks and has a nice beach that is slightly over crowded. If its fun in the sun your looking for then it's grand. If its culture then nah I wouldn't go there
