Wired up Portadown youngsters Latex Spider Monkey deliver something truly unique. Jittery jazz beats below insane hardcore riffage, twisted melodies, screaming, pounding, or, as they like to describe it, 'not music, but a shocking lack thereof'. Two elusive, exeptional, pivotal personalities - cunningly spinning a web of flamboyant brouhahas within the idiom of their own device: charming, clever, generous, sinister Splatterfolk.
Splatterfolk combines elements of traditional Irish/British/American folk with contemporary art music, and spices it up with lyrical and musical components usually associated with horrorfilms, experimental theatre and modernistic poetry. There is also an abundance of filmatic and popcultural references. It's the new revolution within the folk music - scene of today, and you will find no finer exponents of this subversive art than Thinguma*jigSaw.

Wicklow-based band Rocket Surgery formed in early 2006, and the quartet have already attracted a local following with their self-penned rock/jazz fusion instrumentals.

Onemanna

Onemanna is a one-woman band from Denver, Colerado. With the aid of her elusive-sounding "Rapmaster" contraction, she has been bringing her collection of vulger verses to unsuspecting gig goers since last summer. This is her first time in Ireland.
