While all of you shower were off in Dublin gadding about in the city on your Flickr meet, I got myself off down the west of Waterford to a lovely little place called Lismore.

There were a gang of about 10 photographers there ahead of me, anyone from here there?!? Some of them had english accents, but one or two were definitely Irish.

I was quite happy with the rich colours that Mother Nature had on display yesterday. The half hour of hiding under the tree from the torrential rain was worth it in the end.

Anyway, on with the show.......in no particular order......

.....and about four or five more here

That's odd, I can see em, and they are set to public as well on Flickr. Maybe something is amiss with boards?
And I've also discovered that when you tag your pics with Keywords upon import into Lightroom that it also exports them upon conversion and Flickr displays them all as one tag.

Which is now deleted :) So what mysteriuos lady are you referring to?? :D

I noticed that about lightroom too. I forgot to change the metadata on import and some of my photos ended up with sone weird tags on Flickr.

I have two computers on the go and your pics are showing up fine on the other one. They look extra good here with the black background of the "Cloud" theme. The leaf with the drop is really nice.

Can't figure why they are not showing on this machine. Firefox, cleared cache and restarted. Still no joy ;(

Great shots Ronan. I love #2 and #4. Is the red in the background PS enhanced? It's really striking

A tip for exporting from Lightroom, there's a checkbox you can tick when editting keywords to prevent export (I usually add them explicitly rather than just type them into the keywords box, as there's no f**cking cut and paste to reorganise them later). I find it useful, when you can manage to hide stuff that you don't want exported. Setting the title and caption in the metadata will export these to title/description on flickr as well

No PS work done on any of them at all. Just some saturation adjustments in LR, I had to actually desaturate some of the greens as they looked a bit over cooked, but the red/purple is all natural.

It's a fantastic place to visit, well worth the €7 in.

Taken at the "castle", Roen? Lismore/Cappoquin is a fantastic 'unknown' corner of Ireland. Which is good, you don't get Dubs and coach-loads of Yankees! :D

    Mike.

Very nice. Particularly the second and last shots.

Absolutely Mike, but a coach load of Yankees did arrive at the same time as me though! They didn't stick around though and missed the beautiful sunshine that followed a half hour deluge of cold rain.
It was Dub free though, always a bonus ;)

Wow, as I said very striking!

And apparently available for rent at a mere €31k per week (doncha just love Irish Times holiday "cottage" surveys). Wonder if it gives you the right to raid the gunroom and repel and invading coach parties? :D

For 31K you should be allow to hang draw and quarter anyone who even comes near the place!
It is spectacular though, deserving of more time than the three hours I spent there.

Roen, get yourself down to Ilnacullin (Garinish Island), off Glengarriff, in West Cork.
    You'll be in your element!
