One of the coffee shops/restaurants operates for 23 hours per day and closes for one hour but it seems to depend on who is managing it. Some nights it is open all night and on other nights it closes for an hour around 2am. The main food area is on the 3rd floor above departures. The airport gets very quiet around 2am and remains like that until about 3.30/4am when departing passengers begin to arrive. Sleeping is difficult as the regular Tannoy security announcements operate 24 hours and seem very loud in the wee small hours.

If you are really stuck for something to eat, the Esso filling station in the grounds of the airport operates 24 hours. There are also vending machines in the terminal building.

I dont suppose there is a bar open in the early hours, we have a 5.15 am flight tue so we will be on the road all night to get there, a few beers would be welcome then.

I worked night shifts there, but this is two years ago, so things may have changed. The only place that is open at those hours is Bewleys. As previously said, there are vending machines but when I worked there the Esso station wasn't 24 hours.

There will be very few people around, so the best thing to do would be to get some kip, but as said already, the security announcement goes off every 15 minutes or so.

    Hi
You guys obviously havent been to dublin airport in a while, I was there at 4.30 am 2 weeks ago and couldnt believe the crowds there at that time, you could hardly move in the departures area.
Nearly everything is open 24 hours as far as I could see, a security guy told me only one or two shops/cafes close but even then it is only for an hour or so.
BTW there are hotels in the grounds of the airport with all night bars and I'm sure you could get a sandwich or two there aswell.
