WMA video files... cant forward or rewind???

I have a few wma video files and when played, they play perfectly from the start, but i cant forward into them or rewind on any player they are played on. any way of getting around this?

Stupid q but they're not .flv are they as in flash vid? They don't scan very well. Use videolan (vlc) to play them and if you're having touble then it's either a problem with your wmv files or the codec - download the latest ones from the ms site, if not the wmvs probably weren't downloaded completely- do other wmvs work okay or does it apply to all wmvs??

.wma and other wma files work fine. It just these few that were downloaded that wont scan forward/backwards.
