I was just wondering how Sales tax works.

Prices outside EU are amazing but I dunno how sales tax works.

It's about 25% I heard but who do you speak to about it/pay the sales tax to?

    Thanks

Whoever delivers it will usually look for the money before they hand it over to you. Sometimes you get sent an invoice which requests you pay by credit card/postal order, etc.

so you pay the flat price of the instrument, plus shipping of around 120 euros

Then when it is brought to your door by the post office or whatever they will ask for 25% of the value?

    Is that right?

yeh but they mite not ask for it at the door. i got some gear outta japan a few years ago and got the bill for import tax 4 weeks later in the post. i duno if its as high as 25%, i think its 21% but i could be wrong!

It is around 25% because you pay your standard VAT of 21% plus an import fee on guitars of something like 3.7%
