...anywhere I can get an actual on-line price on insurance for Ireland?

My sister in-law wants to take it up, and there's a good learner bike for sale locally, which we're going to see tomorrow.

However, we've no idea how much insurance would cost. Age 37, provisional bike licence, no NCB, bike is an 06 Suzuki GN125. Anyone got even an approx idea of what we'd be looking at? (Full car licence and NCB, although I know that doesn't matter a damn...............)

    TIA, as they say.............

no hope in hell of gettin a quote to morrow, however she might be in luck, as her age and location might make it low. it's also only a 125 but it's a 06 so the cost of insuring a new bike / newish is always high

Galwaytt, if it's any help between now and tomorrow when you can phone round, I paid 288 euro for my first insurance last year on a brand new 250cc bike - I'm older than your sis-in-law (just a bit!), prov licence, new bike....and I'm female! Got the best quote from AON.
Renewal quote was 263 this year.
    G'luck!

(no connection to AON other than a customer).

Id reckon about 2-400 with Aon or quinn.

I think this project is about to come to a halt......Quinn won't insure without and NCB, an Aon quoted..........wait for it...............€566.

    That can't be right for a GN125 for a 37 y.o., surely........?

Sounds about right to me... Did you ring Carole Nash? I found them WAY cheaper than AON for my first year!

    Welcome to Ireland! :(
