Multi-tabling

How many tables would you normally play simultaneously online? Do you play a different amount in Omaha than in holdem?

I find Holdem games are much quicker and you have less time on the clock, so I usually manage 2 only. I play $0.25/0.5 on Party

I play 4 tables in Omaha because betting rounds are slower and more players see flops… i.e. more decision time. I also don’t bother getting a read on Omaha players because online my strategy is purely based on the cards. Is this a good strategy, or am I missing important reads?

I was wondering how many tables a pro would play at high-stakes. My thinking is that they probably just play 1 table, because there is so much at stake and reads are so important that you must pay careful attention to betting patterns.

I can 4 table on FT resizeable table using poker ace hud for my reads. If i had any more tables id struggle to get a look at the stats before i decide to call/fold so i think thats the max i could manage.

When playing on any site with overlapping tables i can only manage 3 tables and thats with 2 monitors, 2 on my big screen and 1 on my smaller screen. I can fit the 4 resizeable tables on my big monitor on FT.

At one stage i taught id struggle to have more than 2 ever but you get used to it, so although i cant see me adding any more than 4 tables currently i suppose i could probably add 1 or 2 more and its just a matter of getting used to it and concentrating and maybe a good script for the poker site id be using

Im only playing mirco levels BTW

Keep track of your hourly $ rate over a different amount of tables and see what number produces the best profit for you. Some players have their system of playing down so well that they can manage 6+ tables without a bother. High stakes players often have 3/4 monitor set ups and all the playing aids available as well which helps. I normally have 3 games going, two tournaments and a cash game then i'll leave the cash game if I go deep in the tournaments. That seems to work well for me.
