Is there one here? Guidelines and tips etc: for organising a poker night?

    Thanks

I know that some people in the past have posted advice in this regard, but I personally don't know of any internet guides as I have never looked for one.

I am sure that some of the people here that run home games will give you the starting points you need. If you have any specific questions about things you are unsure about then I am sure that you will get more detailed answers.

I will move to the main forum to get more visibility for you.

One tip is that every home game should have a Marq. They are indispensible and quite versatile! (Soups stews cassaroles broths, a chilli con carne, a biryani... no waste and no mess. But wait, order now and we'll throw in this Oscar to cover for smoke breaks!)

Beyond that I will try and come up with some other recommendations when I get time.

Have someone heavy for security. Its not likely to be needed but drink and poker make bad bedfellows.
