Brake Query - Calliper Sticking

    Hi guys.

Bought an 01 Passat Tdi the other day, when I picked it up, the garage (not main dealer BTW) said that the rear pads need changing, but parts had not arrived and i was to call back to get them done at no cost. Car is booked to go in tomorrow, but today I noticed the brakes were sticking on the front, ie. staying applied. I think it's because the back pads are so worn that the callipers have to travel further and that its on the limit of travel, leading to the pads rubbing when hot. Can this happen or is it something more serious.

(Garage is looking at entire brake system tommorrow)

    Thanks

The seals in calipers do wear over time and the caliper piston gets lazy, the wheel hub will be rather warm if this is the case.

Yeah the hub was pretty hot alright, It's going in tomorrow to get done, just wanted to point them in somewhat of the right direction, cheers mike.
