    Does anyone know if there was a campaign of strikes and land occupations in Kildare in the 1920s.

    Look up the Oireachtas debates for the period and also the newspapers of the time, especially the Leinster Leader.
    Also contact Military Archives in Cathal Brugha Bks, Rathmines, Dublin 6 re the activities of the "Special Infintry Corps" who were used in support of the Civic Guard or in place of them at that time.
    Also "Saothair", the Journal of the Irish labour History Soc may be useful.
