Mythical Strategy?

some of you degenerates play "mythical", card game played by (usually) the players just knocked out of a tourney and waiting for a cash game to start. played it anyways for the first time tonight... its madness... still a tad confused but think i have the basics. I know there are some people here who play this for substantial money. so... anyone care to share some strategy!?

collevtc suited connectors rather than pairs and trips etc, you always have twice as many outs more or less. dont be afraid to change your strategy if you tqig what everyone else is going for
watch whats been thrown etc too.

If you ask something more specific, then maybe people could give you some good tips. I just don't know where to start tbh.

I'll start, what is mythical?
I guess it's basically rummy with 2 packs? How many cards each?

They play a game over here with 14 cards each and you win double if you get a 15 card hand (but not 5 groups of 3).

mythical - 10 cards, you make sets as in rummy but have one mythical card - invisible card so your sets could be 4578 444 and 789, theres a bonus for not using one and most traditional rummy players have great difficulty getting the hang of it so end up with too many bonuses. Cleaned up playing this tonight in the Jackpot, much better value than poker. IanMc being only one small part of the value.

Nope not even close.

Chinese Poker(the way we play it): 13 cards each, you must make a 5 card high hand, a 5 card deuce-seven low hand and a 3 card high hand. However, the 3 card high hand is not like a brag hand so straights and flushes count for nothing, and its rank must be lower than your 5 card high hand. Players then compare each others hands, hand by hand scoring points for each winning hand and losing points for each losing hand. In a 3 player game, the most points a player can get is 9 (i.e. by 'scooping' both opponents).

Golden Rules
(1) Never play mythical against Daisy heads up, he owns you, always and forever.

(2) Try to avoid having (Solicitor) Kevin from Fitz throwing cards into you, he is as tight a nuns knickers.

(3) If you have Colette Doherty at your table be afraid, be very afraid, she remembers cards she threw to you last friggin year never mind 5mins ago (there's ice running through her vains I tell ya)

(4) Don't play same game as Christy (Fitz regular who looks like a spanish student who never went home, sometimes has a goatie and a cap) unless you have taken some Class A drugs

(5) If your playing with Pat Vickers in the game it is always good to have your ipod, and a thick skin.

(6) Try to remember cards you throw to player to your left.

(7) If you hear someone casually saying "do you want to play Mythical €1 a point". It sounds so innocent, but please realise that you can drop alot of money quickly.
