I went last year it was brilliant. Only did one day but feckin amazing go if you can. Make sure you book the train from Barcelona asap as I met loads of people stuck there as the trains were all booked out.
Its also very hot during the day but the festival only gets going in the evening and goes all night left there at 10am the next day.
The town/venue/beach are all within walking distance.
    Enjoy wish I was going!!

Went last year. Very good time. Very hot. As Glastonbury was off last year the place was crawling with English but not in a bad way. Was a really good vibe. They have class shower facilities (cant imagine going without them) where the most beautiful girls ever shower topless. I thought last years line-up wasnt brilliant but was still very good. The acts dont usually start til after 6ish and you get headliners coming on around 3am. I found this weird as by that time you are pissed and dont remember much, well me anyway.

Leaving the festival was painful. Most people had to queue 3 hours in the heat for train tickets so I'd look into booking them in advance, you'll be grateful later.

I think a common misconception is that its one big beach party/festival- its not. The beach is about a mile walk from the festival site but still nice to go and chill out there during the day.

If you're into your narcs theres plenty about. Theres a bridge where Spanish 'traders' hang out. I'd watch buying dodgy stuff as I had one pretty sh*t night but nothing major.

6-7 of us are going over, just trying to sort accommodation at the moment as we don't fancy tents in that heat!

I've had a blast at Sziget in Budapest the last 2 years, looking forward to trying something new though.

Word to the wise for any one going..get there a day or earlier if at all possible the camp site fills quickly, and is better to get a shaded area....other camp sites are miles from the festival, so camping on site will result in much improved experience and craic....Also a must have is a battery operated small fan. This will allow you to sleep in your tent during the day (which is when you will sleep)...actually forget about sleep maybe a couple at sundown and a couple more before mid morning heat.....

Here's a link to a pdf document showing all bands and times so you can print it off and plan the bands you want to see. Benicassim Timesheets. Hope this helps.

Magic carpets, the countdown is on.... First year at the festival, have been on the 0xegen band wagon for the last 3 years and last year was a total let down, the organisation is in bits, not to mention the amount of pieballs burning tents and pushin over jacks.

Have my flights, festival 3dayer and, most importantly, Hammock bought arriving over on the wednesday and staying till the next tuesday.

3 of us are flying into Barcelona main airport on the 18th and renting a car to head down.... turns out its cheaper divvied up than a train ticket.

Will be sporting an Irish and Barcelona flag on the tent... so stop in for a few scoupies if your around.

    Any veterans got any tips?

It's gonna be magic!!! 0xegen can fook off!

Any of you guys know of good camping stores or similar to get fold up chairs, hammocks and other gear for cheap over in beni or barca? I'd much prefer to get that kind of stuff over there and not worry about fitting it in bags etc.

Benicassim is a sea side/tourist place so there's loads of shops around the beach selling that kind of stuff. Didn't see hammocks, but saw chairs, blow up pillows etc. They could have sold them in the concert arena too, but by golly I can't remember!

Hi all. I know this is a long shot but would anyone be willing to swap 2 camping tickets for 2 non camping tickets if they have a place to stay. There are 2 of us who have the 4 day non camping pass but would like to be inside with the rest of our group. I only ask becasue i've heard of people who had camping tickets but they rented apartments. Thanks in advance.
