    Folks,
watch out for a lotto scam going around. I received a letter by post from the loteria primitiva based in spain claiming that i had won 600,000 euro.

    a quick google found this:
    http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/lotteryscam_Loteria.php

all the cardinal signs were there:
    Mixed up names
    dont go public
    computer ballot.

If you or anyone you know gets one through the post then ignore it
does anyone know where this can be reported to?

It's not a scam it's campaign to keep people dumb enough to fall for it poor so they can do less harm.

This has arrived through my letterbox twice. You can see it's just a bad computer printjob too.

In fairness, if people are stupid enough to fall for these then they deserve it.

I got one through the post last year. The alarm bells started ringing when they spelt my estate wrong (the exact same way it is spelt in the phone book - ever wonder where they get your address?).

If people are smart enough to sign up to boards then they are smart enough not to fall for this scam so don't need a warning.

Its just the email one in hard copy...hardly more likely to catch anyone with a brain!

I paid a e1500 for insured postage to send my prize out and the guys havent sent it. I'm still in contact with them so I've been threatening them wiht court if they keep on delaying.

All my junk mail comes to my address as it's misspelt on the previous electoral register. Needless to say, I opted out of the edited register this time round. Doesn't stop me from getting junk mail from politicians though

How could you fall for something that came through your letterbox?

in my opinion anyone that falls for this 'in the face scam' deserves to be scammed, it would be totally stupid to fall for it

Simple rule: If you dont enter a prize draw you cant win a prize draw.

wow! I just got one today, considering framing it, or at least bringing it in to work and offering it to someone !!!.
But I really did win on this !!! -
Lovely unmarked €0.60 spanish stamp - all for free, for me , wohoo.
Someone over in Malaga is going to have to lick a few more envelopes before they get their 60 cents back.

Ha ha ha ! ! greedy gits

Just got a letter from the good people of Loteria Primitiva informing me I've won €815,810.

All I need to do is send them my bank details and loads of info of my next of kin. :)
