I know there's a band and musicians section but I'm a bit sad about that, every time I asked for musicians I got replies from people who just wanted to be in a band. Any band. I'm hoping maybe here I can get some replies from people with similar taste.

If this is the wrong place for this, I apologize.

I'm moving to Galway in a couple of months, and I'd really like to get a band going there. I've played in a few bands in belgium and done stuff like parties, local battle of the bands etc. I play bass and if I'm really pressed, rhythm guitar but nothing flash on that.

    I like:
Rancid,NOFX, the Clash,OP Ivy, Dropkicks, Flogging Molly, the TOssers, Dead Kennedys,Black Flag, Rise Against, Bad Religion, etc etc. Pretty much any type of punk goes though American Idiot era green day isn;t my cup of tea, Loved Dookie though.

If your at all interested please contact me.

    THanks
    Cian

As far as I know there a few young lads who are into hardcore punk and play in a few bands out in Moycullen village, 5 miles north of Galway if thats any use to ya. How you'll get in touch with them is another question. Although I think one of the bands is called Captain Spalding and have a myspace site.
