I can't order anything from cdwow today. My laser and mastercard are both being declined. And I can't check my order status either. Cdwow sure ain't what it used to be.

Agreed :( CDwow are not much better than the high street stores now.

I started off using play.com, then switched to CDwow because CDwow was cheaper, now I find myself back with play as lately they are constantly coming out the cheaper.

    Example:

    play vs cdwow

    A more suttle example:

    play vs cdwow

If youre not doing so already, always cross check their prices with play.com :)

I think that it all depends when you buy, I always check around a few sites. Here is cdwow being a lot cheaper than play:) €9.99 vs €23.49!!!

There seems to be something up with the database/order status at cdwow.com...for some odd reason though its fine at cdwow.net!

Cdwow sure ain't what it used to be.

Especially since they moved their support from Uk to India.
My postman seems to regularly cheery pick the odd dvd/cd from my deliveries and when the support was in UK I would ring them and they'd send out a replacement straight away but now I find with Inida it takes a few days before they even reply to you and then it's "have you contacted your local post office" etc and it's nearly a month before you'll see a replacement !

I even suggested to them before that if they made their packaging a bit less obvious then people wouldn't know there was a cd/dvd was inside!

I find CDWOW is still good for bargains, just gotta be more "creative" now to get 'em. ;)
I stock up on lots of CD WOW discount vouchers (US$2 ones are best, I use a few different email addresses or Mailinator with the voucher links.) Next I scour the internet for a US discount affiliate link giving me $2 off everything. (I use Google now, it's getting tougher!)
Then I use the affiliate discount site AND my vouchers to get a triple whammy discount deal from CD WOW US. (Third whammy is the excellent dollar/euro exchange rate at the moment.) So any CD's I get usually work out far less than in the shops, about €6/€8.

Might have something to do with their court conviction a few weeks back for being in breach of EU law. I think they were fined something like £150,000. They will now have to deliver from within the EU or else sell at the RRP.

Good work, whats the best search term to use on google for affiliate sites?

Desktop PC Boards discount code on https://www.satellite.ie/ is boards.ie

You know if you start off from your pigsback page and link through then change the .ie to well lets say .com and then change the affid no to the affiliate site affid no, to get your money off automatically, then go through and use your vouchers on the payment page you still get the piggypoints for the purchase. Although this was a lot handier in the olden days with those Mickey D five euro's flying about and especially the capital 1 ones.
    Still everylittle thing helps

Thanks Malmedicine, I must try that to see if I can achieve a quadruple discount from CD WOW US. :D
