    Hi,

any suggestion much appreciated. I'm heading off with a few mates on safari to kenya and hopefully tanzania for about a week. Any must-sees or safari companies? Ideally I'd like to take in both countries....serengeti,masi mara, ngorongoro crater, lake nakuru.
We also have another week to chill out and are stuck on deciding between Zanzibar or the kenyan resorts around Zanzibar. Has anyone been to either and provide some recommendations? or maybe there's some other place around there to chill out in.

    thanks for the help

Going back a bit here but I was in Kanya in '97.

We did a safari around Tsavo East. It's where the maneater lions were attacking the guys building the railway line which inspired the film the ghost in the darkness. The safari was great, I remember some baboons jumping down from the rafters in voi lodge and nicking everyones weetabix. Mombasa was OK, plenty of hassle to be had from the locals selling junk and some rather unsavoury old Germans exploiting the local women when I was there. I hear Zanzibar is far nicer. There is a fast cat which goes from Dar Es Salaam.
