Conservatory Roof

Hi all, I am considering replacing a crappy old glass conservatory roof with something that looks more traditional.
I presume that structurally it would not be possible to actually fit a proper tiled / slated roof so I think I'm looking at some sort of traditional lookalike roof.(If that makes any sense????)
I have heard of companies providing a 'Sundyal' roof, so i wanted to know if anyone has any exp of these?? Does it look at all authentic??? It looks pretty good in the pictures, but I want something that looks authentic when standing 10m away for example...
If anyone has any suggestions or comments they would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

If a tiled or slated roof is what you want , then structurally it can be incorporated into your conserveratory design. Timber designs are very accomodating for different roof types, so are pvc , as they incorporate steel and aluminium reinforcing bars in the section.

Cheers Kadman. Perhaps the traditional roof is the best option then. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a roof that had a finish that just looked like a fancy tin-roof..
I will look further into this solution, I haven't even priced it because I didn't think it'd be possible..

Don't know where you are based but a friend of mine living in Ratoath Co Meath is in the middle of doing exactly waht you are proposing.
He works for an extremely large building contractor and through them he sourced a company to put on a tiled roof to an existing conservatory. From memory I think its a company based at start of Naas rd near Bluebell, they do decking, conversatories and outside rooms. Ps I have no connection whatsoever with the company, don't even know exact name of it !

If you could find out the name of the company Secman I would probably get onto them for a quote at least. I am based in Louth so I don't know if they would be arsed coming up here to do it but i suppose there's no harm asking.. I would like to go with a company that have done it before, rather than someone I know having a lash at it and probably making a balls of it..

    Cheers..
