    Hi Guys,

I am off on a city break next week and my flight is at 6:10 AM.

Aer Lingus recommends that you check in 2hrs 30 mins before the flight i.e 3:40 AM.This seems extremely early to me.How fine do you think I can cut this without missing the flight?

    Regards

    MM

Took this flight about a month ago, checked in at about 5. No problems.

I'd say you'll be alright if you get there for around 5ish, 4.30 if your nervous about it? Thats what time I plan to be there for my 6.10am flight to Bristol in a few weeks. The airport is dead at that time so you fly through customs and all that!

    Hey there!

Been on this flight myself from DUB to AMS. EI602 I think.

I checked in at the Self Service Kiosk myself at 4.50am, dumped my bag at the check in counter and security lines were not too bad at that time, allowing me to grab a wee bite to eat once I had cleared security. If your gate is boarding from Pier A, then allow yourself an extra 10 mins or so for the wee saunter down.

3.40 is madness, no need to be there that early.....oh and yeah, enjoy AMS!
    Regards,
    MTM

It depends on what day of the week you are going, also.

I was in the shack, sorry, airport, last Saturday week for a 7:00am flight and it was jam-packed. Friday and Saturday mornings are the busiest.

It was then I got the idea of using hand-luggage only and do the web checkin, so you can go straight to the gate. It's much quicker.
