Coole Park

I've finally had a chance to visit this magnificent forest, although we were only there for an hour in total, which was a little dissapointing - I'm sure there's a huge amount more that we didn't get to see. My photos were really dissapointing when I got them home, so I played with colours in lightroom and finally think I've gotten a wonderful vibrant greent from them (all without adjusting WB, heh). I've thrown the preset up on my site, please feel free to try it:

Just untar it to ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop\ Presets/ (Sorry, I've no idea of the Windows path)

Just as a note, the photo swings the colours from brown/yellow through to green, and you'll get supremely weird results with other photos. It also puts contrast way up and leaves it darker.

And then relaunch Lightroom. It works best with photos shot in a forest at around 6400 temp/-7 tint.

love the second shot, although the critic in me might wonder if the colour/green has been pushed up just a little too much in that shot

Its about 2 or so miles before Gort on RHS (heading from Galway towards Limerick direction). Its very well signposted from both directions.

Lovely Mark. Thanks for the preset. At last a Lightroom preset that's useful! I'm having a bit of fun with it. I'll ask again how to do one. No point now, my brain wouldn't be able to talke it in.

Just adjust a photo as you will under Develop, open up the Presets pane and click the +. Pick a name and settings you want to use.

    I demand sample photos. ;)

    Valentia,
Have you checked out the free presets at http://inside-lightroom.com

Mark, you should consider submitting yours..

Done. I'm not taken with most of the presets, but the 300 one is just plain fun.

I need to make a bleach bypass one at some point.

    Thanks seanmac.

Mark, I'll stick a few up soon. It works well indeed. I notice the "lens correction" feature is being used to it's maximum ;)

Ah, really easy to save so, deadly!

    Well it works.

It was also honestly the easiest way to shift colours.
