Ok so as the title (kinda ;)) says, what happens if you fail the continuous assessment part of a module? Is that the whole year failed then?

And if ye have to do a repeat project or whatever, does that mean that the best you can do that year is a pass overall?

We were always told if we failed it, we failed the year
because there was no facility to repeat it. That's NUIG.
Maybe DCU is different. Ask the lecturer.

if its an assignment then you need to email the lecturer... its up to him/her whether you can repeat it. Happened to me before and the lecturer was great about it. I just had to hand it in before the repeat exams started

    pretty much yeah.

If it's worth around the 25% overall then you should be compensated if you do well in the final exam. Just go up to your lecturer and have a talk, every degree and module in DCU has different requirments so you won't get the correct answer here unless you specify the module and lecturer.

Depends on the lecturer. I failed last year and just had to re do an assignment and that was that. Talk to your lecturer and see what they say.
