Ok I see this has failed to get off the ground. So I'll try one last time to see if there is enough interest . I reckon it got derailed by the many different options plus restrictions placed on it.

To Keep it as simple as possible. 20 players x 500 Euros are required to make up the Syndicate.
    The Deal.
20 players play a 500 Euro freezeout with the winner to represent the Syndicate at the 2007 WSOP in Vegas (baby).

The breakdown is as follows (non negotiable) The winner will get 30% of any winnings with the Syndicate receiving 70%.
This means the winner gets a trip to Vegas, accomadation, plus the chance to play the WSOP. So 30% is quite good on top of that. That is all, do whatever the hell you want with sponsorship etc whatever deals you make are yours outside of the winnings. The only stuipluation is that 70% of all winnings from the tournament go back to the Syndicate. A form requiring signatures of all playing will be required to ensure this is above board.

So as this is 500 Euros (not exactly chicken feed) please think hard if you would be willing to play in this.
Then reply yeigh or neigh. (that's YES or No to people who don't speak horsey)
To me it makes sense to play this in one the last two weeks in June. It also gives players bankroll time to recover from the triad of tournaments coming up in May.

    Willie,

I think this could work. I spoke to a few players yesterday about it and was interest

Good man Willie. My attempt went up in smoke when only a handful of players showed interest. Hope you get some good numbers for this.

I'm not 100% sure though if i'll play. I'll be attemping a couple of other sats beforehand as i'd like to play for a bit more than 30% if i'm payin €500 entry.

Ok lets gets this moving in the right direction.

    1st Saturday or Sunday?
I can get the Spawell, Templeogue on Saturdays and the Red Cow Hotel on Sundays. The Red Cow is a better venue comfort wise and also we can run later. If we did decide to run this in the Spawell and the game wasn't finish by normal pub hours we could continue this the following day in the Red Cow.

    2nd Dates?
    Saturday 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
    Sunday 10th, 17th, 24th

There is a live sat on the 10th in Dundalk and on the 16th in Galway, don't think we should clash with these dates. I have my monthly deepstack game on the 24th (could possibly run it on this date as a last longer in that tournament, not sure how people would feel about this) otherwise I think the best dates for this would be either the 17th or 23rd.

    3rd Structure
Same as the WSOP (i think this will be best practice for whoever goes on to represent the syndicate).

    20000 Chips

    50-100
    100-200
    200-400
    200-400 50 Ante
    300-600 75 Ante
    400-800 100 Ante
    500-1000 100 A
    600-1200 200 A
    800-1600 200 A
    1000-2000 300 A
    1200-2400 300 A
    1500-3000 400 A
    2000-4000 500 A
    2500-5000 500 A
    3000-6000 1000 A
    4000-8000 1000 A
    5000-10000 1000 A
    6000-12000 2000 A
    8000-16000 2000 A
    10000-20000 3000 A
    12000-24000 3000 A
    15000-30000 4000 A
    20000-40000 5000 A

    4th Buyin?
    €250
    €300
    €350
    €400
    €500

    Hi JP,

I think as you have described it, the cheaper the buy in the more chance you will have of getting players.

So perhaps a 250 tournament is the minimum you should push for as you don't really want more than 40 players in a Syndicate, otherwise the players will have to make the FT in order to score big for the group.

So my suggestion is as a 40 x 250 Tournament. You can decide on reg. I don't think also the 30-70 rule should be broken. The winner after all gets to go to Vegas. Anyway, let's get it on, I like the late June date

If you build it they will come!

Well done JP and Solskjaer..I'm 100% in for this. I think something more in the direction of 50-50 may appeal more to alot of players. Anyway whatever it is I'll still donate.

Ok the only problem at the moment seems to be the %.

Maybe 40% to the Winner and 60% to the Syndicate?

I don't know how to do a poll so can someone do one on the following

    option 1 30% & 70%
    option 2 40% & 60%
    option 3 50% & 50%

JP maybe you should ask that people only vote if it is their intention to play.
