    Damn you Spankeh :p

Ehh, wasn't the kid just wanted by daddy Bauer?
No real significance other than he wanted him in payment for fixing the 'component'? Maybe I'm wrong. :-/

Ah CTU...can't even secure the sewers ffs. Another successful CTU attack in two seasons. BoO ****ing Urns. Lazy writing.

Milo...wow. Way to take on for the team buddy. :(

Not much else really happened I suppose. The whole VP/Lisa/Daniel Jackson thing; meh really. No real advancement.

Not happy. 3 hours to go and this was average at best imo.

Hehe, joys of Las Vegas. :)

I think there is a season 2 hour finale episode too.

Daddy bauer and the kid. I have a feeling something is up really. I mean, he was willing to kill him earlier on, but why mount such a massive operation to get the kid from CTU??

Unless he is trying to do something to the Chinese.

I'm also wondering how the VP's PA is getting on? :)

Looks like the lads in the van have a show to watch :D

Gotta say, i really enjoyed this episode from the part were Milo was killed [:(]

Not because I hate Milo but because it finall felt like true 24 again for once, I mean no main characters really died this season. I'd never count Graham as more of a guest star, and Fayed and Gredenko were the generic villains that would die

I had a great feelin Chloe would be kidnapped and forced to override security on the chip from the nuke, since she was missin last episode

Why they wanted Josh was confusin, cos I had completely forgotten about Jacks Dad. I think he wants Josh cos he knows hes the only Bauer left to carry on his "work" and hes still young and impressionable, if not, theres always brainwashin

Good episode, actually lookin forward to the next ones!

Didnt think I'd say it this season but Jack is Back!!!!! :)

    Best episode in a while.
Was just thinking Milo was a bit of a non-character, then they shot him.
Only they showed the "previously on 24" bit at the start it was obvious the Bauer family were coming back.
Daddy Bauer was jixing the component in return for his grandson. There wasn't much point getting someone to launch a full scale attack because they were leaving in the morning. Could he not just have waited a few hours and grabbed them on the street or call round to the house.
Once the Chinese were mobilising a "Tack Team" and Jack was left behind it was obvious they weren't at Bloomfield and were mounting an attack on CTU.
    Can't wait for next week.

Yeah, I thought that too, sure Josh and his Mom were just about to be left go home and the next second the bad guys bust in to get him.
Just seemed like an excuse to use up an episode by having an attack on CTU.

Yeah, It's always obvious any time CTU sweep a building without Jack that there isn't going to be anything there.
I wasn't sure if CTU was the target of the attack, it seemed to be too obvious.

Technically that's not true; this is the first time there's been a physical assault on CTU, last seasons was
when one person got in with false identification and planted the nerve gas inside the building

Wouldn't really agree with you there; Milo wasn't really a "main" character; by that I mean someone who's been in the show for a few seasons, he was there in the first series and now he's back but if someone was going to die, picking him was a bit of a cop out IMO.
I was far more shocked when Curtis was killed off in ep 4. I expected Morris to get it but no such luck alas.

    Yeah, enjoyed it too.

Maybe Gandad has implanted some secret stuff under Josh's skin or something.

Why does CTU always finds duress codes in other peoples recordings, but never use them themselves???
Also they can't get outside lines, but Doyle can phone them???
They can't connect to any server, but still rewind the satellite feed (which just happens to be local on Cloe's workstation???

Jacks attempted rescue of Josh and Marylin was "24 meets Die Hard" style. Only Bruce Willis can do better :-)

Yes, when Nadia (sheesh) was on the the 'phone to Doyle I expected her to plant a duress code into the conversation.

She did. She called him Mike. She usually calls him Doyle.

Not exactly an established protocol ... But I always wondered why Doyle was the only one not called by his first name apart from Bill.. (cause he is new?)

No, because he's a prick and everyone hates him.:D

Thought I'd give it another shot.

So it's the annual CTU invasion. Amazingly CTU's whole three dimwitted security guards are unable to fend off the attack from an unguarded sewer access point. Clap...

"Who is the head of CTU? You?" BANG! "We won't need him sure. Wait. What, someone is calling in? I didn't see that coming. Hold on, Nadia, you're really the head? Wow, that was lucky for me!"

The whole "package", "target", "his country", "left gonad" thing is really tiresome. It was plainly obvious CTU was the target, why bother delaying telling the viewer? It stands out like a sore thumb when the baddies don't use specifics.

    2/5

This jumped straight out at me as well!

I actually enjoyed last week's episode, this I wasn't so keen on. When the Chinese had everyone held hostage on the floor, it was like a stark reminder about how many characters I don't really care about. The only familiar faces are Milo, Nadia, Chloe and Maurice. Apart from Chloe, I don't think I'd be too overwhelmed if any of the others were killed.

The whole scenario with the President's assisstant and her spy didn't progress at all, we'll have to wait until next week I guess.

All in all I'd give it a 2/5. Good enough action, Jack getting out of the room and killing a few of the Chinese before ultimately getting caught. That's about all it had though I thought. It hasn't recovered since Jack killed Fayed and they started with the Chinese angle. At this stage I'm hoping for a kick ass finale to salvage something from the season.

You forgot "The Component", that line is really starting to do my head in. It was far too obvious that CTU was the target, especially when Doyle said he had every available agent out at the Bloomfield site, leaving CTU wide open. And CTU's computer security gets cracked, again. Lazy writing all round, worst episode of the season so far. The only shock moment was Mylo getting a bullet in the head, didn't see that coming. The sting operation with the double agent and Noah's aid doesn't really seem to be going anywhere. I think that's just there to tie up the Russian story line and won't go anywhere.

CTU should have never been attacked once, let alone 3 times now

    Its mad

And them sec guards are a joke, they're worse than the ones in my shop!

Funk the guys who stop terrorist attacks, the 360s need the big gun's protection.

The main problem I have with this season is that its wayyy to predictable, and some of the dialogue is crappy

Like, i hate the way at the start Chloe said to Bill "Your wife, sorry, I mean Karen Hayes" it was obviously an explainer geared towards the audience

They shoulda just left the wedding ring shot, the lovey-dovey phone calls, and left the rest up to us

Still, it a nice way t pass time, CTU all the way

    Oh, and Chloe's a terrorist ;)

    Pretty good episode.

Good auld Daddy Bauer, where will he surface from next? :D

Fair play to milo, now that's what you call a team player!! I thought the PA/Daniel Jackson thing (with the 3 guys watching them from the van) was a bit weird. I thought that cops would be wtaching out for that kind of thing....

I thought there was some good action scenes in it, although the arguing between Chloe and Morris was a bit of a waste of time.

They took their time having sex for the first time in 24.

Good episode. Looking forward to the 2hour finale.

Oh! it's going to get much worse!

    I gave it four stars.

When Milo was killed, I had one of those classic 24 "Oh my God, I didn't see that coming moments". (To the poster who pointed out no main characters really died this year, Curtis was killed in episode four. Surely he counts?)

The rest of the episode was very Jack centric, something a lot of people here have been calling for.

Yes CTU been attacked has been done before but they choose to make less of a big deal about it this time. Casing point being the episode didn't end with the 'shock-horror' twist of Milo being killed.

The Presidential storyline was well handled this time. The real time shag worked nicely as opposed to last week's 'wham bam' effort.

Daddy Bauer made his return in the final moments. I watched his scenes with a sinking feeling. Hopefully they wrap up the 'Jack's family are terrorists' plot quickly, and this season, so we don't have to put up with the same tripe next year.

I think Nadia used a duress code so expect Doyle to come in guns blazing next week.

Maybe the writers will redeem themselves in the finale?

I'm guessing we won't see Logan or Audrey back till next year?

I liked it, four stars. Unfortunately, someone spoiled Milo's death for me during the week. Needless to say, that person has been eliminated. But I loved seeing Jack running around, guns blazing. The bit where he used the dead guard's body as cover was really cool!
