TM Glock 18c problem

I just spent 90 mins stripping my Glock again for the 3rd time to find out why it's not firing full-auto about 50% of the time. Still can't see what's wrong. It fires 4-5 shots on full auto then starts firing single. Put some extra silicone lubrication in it today, but it's still not working right. Worst part is that the problem is intermittant.

Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Oh, and if anyone wants to strip a TM Glock 18c, here is a great guide :

P.S. It's a real pain to put it back together again. Those damn pin don't go in properly, the battery eject level is near impossible to put back together and you have to completely strip the gun to get to the gearbox.

any signs of motor problems when it stops firing full auto? any strange noises or anything?

is it getting jammed at all?

It's not jamming as such, it's just fires single shots when on full-auto. So you get about 4-5 rapid shots, a brief pause, then single shots. Release the trigger, fire again, and the same results...most of the time.

Everything looked fine inside. All the gears where well lubricated, nothing was bent, cracked or out of shape that I could see.

Fired a good few shots this morning and it appears to be working fine. I hope it stays that way.

    does it go:
-crack-crack-crack-crack-wrrrrr-crack-wrrrrr-crack-wrrrrr-crack ? (sorry lol) in that the single shots are slightly laboured? or when it goes into the single shot phase are they nice and crisp?

I kinda half suspect a battery problem... you say its gone away for the moment, did you have the battery charging?

    Lol.

Happens with 2 batteries, so I don't think it's that, unless I'm really unlucky. There are no wrrrrr (whirring) sounds.

    More like:
crack crack crack crack silence crack silence crack silence crack crack silence etc Basically lots of cracks (bit like a building site), and little silences in between

Hmm...good suggestion (trigger contacts ;) ). A friend here just mentioned the electrical wiring. It could be a bit dodgy.

Has it been like that since you got it? If so, I had a similar problem with mine, it would only fire 2-3 shots, until I copped it. Don't pull the trigger completely. Pull it slightly less than you would on semi and it should keep firing. Let me know.

Only been like this for about 2 weeks. Worked fine for months.

I'll test the trigger idea tomorrow. Can't right now as I'd wake Paula up.

I doubt that my idea would be any good to you then. If it was working when you got it, I have no idea what the problem could be.

Motor could not be able to hold out, wait does Resistance increase or decrease with temperature?

    Resistance increases with temperature.

Hmmm...now that I think of it, the problem does seem worse at HRTA (Very warm the last few weeks), and not so bad at home (much cooler)

Of course, it could just be a coincidence.
