I am looking for a firefox extension which will allow me to save my usernames and passwords on a pc which i share with a few others in my house, so that i don't have to enter them, but also so the others cannot log into my accounts. Some form of profile.

    Anyone know of one?

Firefox already has a profile system, as does Windows 2000 and higher. You really should be using either of these (especially the Windows based one).

The firefox profiles seems good, except there is no password control.

I know about windows user profiles, but i don't want to have to go to the bother of switching users etc.

What would be ideal would be if the firefox profile would request a password on startup. Is that possible? I does not seem so so far.

Its not, as far as I can see. The closest thing to it is the Master Password system, which requires a user to enter a password before a stored password can be accessed.

I use that on another pc, the problem i find with it is that it will not always stop a username and password getting auto filled and the page getting loaded before it asks for the password.
