Need one of these for as cheap as possible. Basically I need it to save my thesis on so its solely for word documents so I'm not sure how much space I need but I imagine not a lot. The amount of files might become quite large down the years though. Any help? Struggling grad student so need it cheap! Thanks.

Ah I gave it a bash earlier, but most of the threads were for much larger drives or else the links to deals had expired etc

There are a few online shops listed in the sticky here. Go to post #2 and scroll down to Electronics/computers where you will find a list of shops. Most of them are online though

I got a 2GB stick off ebay for about €13, probably the cheapest you'll find.

If you're in Dublin then try the shop in DIT Kevin st (l assume the other shops in the campuses too), they're clearing out all their USB keys. 128mb is a fiver which should be plenty if you're only saving word documents, l think they also have 512mb & 1gig for 10 & 15 respectively.
