Extended Technique

I recently found this site, 'The Orchestra: A User's Manual', which aside from being deadly in terms of thinking about orchestral composition, has got great sections on extended technique for each instrument. The clarinet part improved my understanding of some of the more exotic techniques for that instrument, and told me of a few I hadn't known were possible.

Anyone else's thoughts? I might post this link on songwriting as well as I felt it's sorta designed with composing and conducting in mind.
