airsoft guns

    im just wonderig does anyone know where the law stands when it comes to trying to buy an airsoft bb gun from overseas. its not a pellet gun that im looking at its a replica assault rifle, but it fires the small 6mm plastic bb's. if i buy one will i have trouble getting it hrough the post or is this legal as i dont think you need a license to possess one in this country. can anyone help?

    As far as I'm aware you can purchase them from overseas without any problem so long as the airsoft gun does not have a muzzle velocity exceeding 1 joule (approx 328 feet per second) with a .20g bb.
