Horse Racing Pics from Kilbeggan

    Some pics from the race meeting at Kilbeggan yesterday, little dark around 7:30-8pm so ideal for practising slow shutter speeds, horses don't exactly lend themselves to panning shots (unlike race bikes) with their galloping up & down while moving horizontally, albeit at a much lower speeds, but you can still capture some movement without a complete blurry mess :D

    Saw the title of this thread and wondered if they'd be a bit boring looking as I find most of these sort of shots a little boring because they just look so frozen. I love these! You captured the movement perfectly. Kudos!

    Have to agree with DarrenG number 4 is a great shot. I always find it hard to pan with horses as the rider generally moves differently to the horse. Very nice though good feeling of movement.

    That horse in the second last shot looks like its lost its jockey though.
