sent a payment to a friend to day and it said it should be cleared in another 3 days.will the funds go straight into his linked account or will they just remain as credits in his paypal account? thanks for the help ed

It depends on how he has it set up.
Mine go into my paypal account. I think it's up to the account holder's bank's arrangements as to whether or not you can then directly send them to your nominated account.

payment should normally go to his Paypal account it's up to himself to transfer it to whatever bank account he has set up.
