I saw a I960s Anglia on a footpath on the side of the road near Portumna. It appears to have been there for a while as it was covered in grime, probably from so much traffic in different weathers. Im surprised that no one has rescued it and I would hate to see it being left to elements such as vandalism or even burn out.....:(

There used to be a Concul Capri in Kilbeggan in the same situation. It's very hard to watch, isn't it?

I didnt see a For Sale sign on it but l cant date the number plate of IFI which is a tipperary number. The wipers were in standing position and i think there was a Thames badge on the bonnet. It was parked right beside a wall outside a guesthouse but rather near a neighbouring house wall.

Yeah man It's been there for years just sittin there. Body looks like it would just crumble if you tried to move it. I often pass that way going to athlone. I went up to 3 Houses beside it and knocked on the doors one saturday tryin to find the owner but had no luck getting anyone to come out.

How much would i expect to pay for a Ford Anglia I05 E ?

I know of a fella selling one in dublin, with old irish plates (heard they can be worth a few quid themselves?).

It’s in fairly good condition, needs a bit of work like any oldtimer, but he broke another one so it comes with loads of parts.

Any idea how much it would be worth? He asked me to make a fair offer, and i don’t know if 100 or 5000 is a fair offer.

    Help greatly appreciated.

Some people get carried away about the price of these old wrecks. What one needs to know before you buy a wreck, is how much will it cost to make it into a usable car or possibly a very worthwhile classic. In most cases the cost of restoring these yokes is more expensive than buying a good one. I know because , I have done both. I was recently asked two grand from a guy that had a car rotting in a field for the last ten years !! Car was probably worth between two and five hundred.
If you can do some restoration yourself , then it's a whole new ballgame on the price.;)

The plates arnt really worth much, apart from the fact that they are original irish, they cant be transferred or sold.
A friend of mine paid 400eu for this..

And it was pretty rotten..he sold it on..Anyone know of it now?
Anglias can be expensive to restore..front wings are expensive and hard to find.
