Any news on how Ken is getting on in Tallinn?

He was 10th of 30 left after day one of the 167 starters. Think play resumed around five.

    Cheers.

There were actually only 95 runners in the main event here in Estonia, so paying 9 was fine by me. I finished 13th after making an aggressive (and unnecessary) pre-flop move from the SB against button raiser. 7-handed, blinds 1,500-3,000 with 400 running ante, button (70k) opens for 12k, I shove for 48k (with A9), he calls after an age with AJ and that was that. I also finished 13th in the PLO tourney that Rob cashed in, my AA42ss was no match for AJ64ds in a large preflop showdown.

So, donkament disappointment for me (zero cashes from 5 tournies on the trip!) but the Latvia PLO cashgames (+5,000 euro) and a drunken 10% swap (with a German geezer who finished 3rd in Estonia ME for 15,000 euro) covered the 2-week trip for me.

A fortnight of fun and frolics nonetheless, the only downside for gentlemen playing poker in this region is the difficulty in concentrating on one's cards when surrounded by the world's foxiest ladies who populate the casinos here.

Off out for lunch now, we fly home tonight.
