I use a 3v card and am trying to use it with play.com.

Evertime I put in the details, I get an email a day or two later saying that the address needs to be verified. I am using my home address but it says it has to be the exact same as the address on the credit card.

Does this mean it has to be the same as the one I got my 3v card sent to?

As far as I'm aware, the one I am entering is the one that is linked to 3v. Anyway to check?

Has anyone else used a 3v card with play?

i have used 3v countless times with play.com with no problems, your mailing address must match the address you supply for the credit card number

yea you gota match them. I used it to buy loads of games and everything was fine..

Only problem I had was buying games for 8.99 and having 9 something on the voucher.. It wouldnt go thru cause they take 1 something off it before the 8.99!

That annoyed me as I couldn't buy 2 games and lost out on money

They pre auth for £1 stg when you first use each card on play.com. This £1 is returned a week later.

Well, if they carry out this charge, doesn't this authenticate the card details as well?

hey,i was trying to create a new account with my 3v card on play.com but there is a few options that u have to fill in such as "expiry date" "valid from" "cv2 number" and "issue number", these arent on the card so what do i do for these??

The Expiry date and CV2 number should have been either emailed to you or sent by SMS to your mobile. Valid from is the month you bought it (07/07). Issue number can be ignored.

If you get problems paying you can try login to your 3V number on 3v.ie and it tells you what you've tried doing with the voucher... when it happend to me it was £ I was buying in and saw that I was 71c short.
