http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/home/products/notebooks/amilo_xa_1526.html I have been offered this new at just over the €1000 mark, 1067 to be exact, its 2gb of memory and looks nice, i just dont know anything about the AMD processors

Good all around machine, with particularly decent graphics, usually a major factor in driving cost up. With 2gb of ram to match, I would have to say it is a great bargin.
