24 hours of boards

Might be a bit late for this, but its that 24 hours of flickr thing today and I wondered if we could have an equivalent? Everyone post up say five pictures taken today that illustrate what you did. They don't have to be anything wonderfully technically special.

Is anyone doing the Flickr thing?

Great idea ... I hvae two of those 24 hours coffee table books ... one from the Soviet Union (as it was) ... the other USA (by way of contrast) ...

I really like those kinds of things which show a typical day ...

I'm up for it ... steal with pride and all that!!!

Was up and in the city at 6.30am this morning to try and get some shots for the flickr 24 thingy. 240+ shots later I know I have one or two that I would like to submit, just have to decide which one goes up. Will post the one I decide on later. I'd be up for a boards 24 one as well

Ok I'm done. I actually really enjoyed doing this - I tend to flit when I'm out with the camera so it was good to have a theme for the day, and it was a bit of a challenge trying to put together an illustrative set rather than just picking the best ones of the day. I had an uncharacteristically boring Saturday which I was a bit peeved at initially, but it was the first time the camera and I have had some quality alone time in quite a while! I ended up getting stuff I've wanted to capture for some time...

Bolands Mills - I've been wanting to shoot this building for ages but I wasn't sure what appealed to me so much. I think its the fact that its such a huge building, coupled with its decrepitude. Usually buildings of this scale are pristine and chrome and glass. I *have* to get back with a Tripod and an IR filter...



I've been trying to get this guy for ages. Not the best of shots (all the contrasty ones were that bit soft) but I'm pleased I finally caught him at all! Anyone know what it is? Heron? Egret?

I went for a walk up in Wicklow yesterday, here's a little photostitch:
