Personally if you want a good sounding bass amp thats loud enough for gigging and jamming the ONLY one that i could suggest in good conscience is the Fender Rumble.

    http://www.thomann.de/ie/fender_rumble_60_basscombo.htm

Its not 100 watts but ive played on em many times whenever i play the local youth club in a band situation and it holds up EXELLENT, easily loud enough with two 100 watt amps and a drum kit playing and plus it sounds better than pretty much anything at the price and it looks nifty.

Also stay away from harly benton as a rule unless your using somthing to mess around with.

What company makes a "blue angel" amp? I think that's what it's called. Beautiful amps. Oh oh, I remember, I'm thinking of an Ashdown maybe... now I wonder did they actually make an amp named "blue angel", but eh, yeah, Ashdown are tasty for bassy.

Actually, a 100 watt fender rumble came up on adverts.ie there yesterday so I'm going to get that. Its in my price range and seems like good value.

    Thanks lads.

They didn't make a Blue Angel amp. They make the Fallen Angel amps which are guitar amps, and they also have the Electric Blue series which are bass amps.

    :)

Electric blue suck though, there at the bottom of the bottom. Ashdown are damm good though from the mag series up.

I dunno now, they're quite nice in my experience. Take a bit of tweaking mind you, but worthwhile, some nice tones to be gotten there. But yeah, from the MAG series upwards, they're pro amps.

Electric blue are more of a bedroom amp, a step up from a practice amp if you will. The MAG's are nice, they seem to have become a standard for gigging bassists in Dublin from what I've seen.

Yup, there exellent, reliable and relitivly cheap. Ashdown deffinatly have my vote at the moment, even over brands like orange and ampeg.

Great amp's imo. Although I'm buying a Markbass next month. They're supposed to be awesome and they're damn small too :)

Yup, I was thinking that earlier.

OP, I'm sure your budget could stretch another €36. I'd certainly recommend the Ashdown Five Fifteen.
