Just got the 70-200 from HK ... I was just wondering ... apart from the obvious ... is there any way of making sure it is 100% ok ?

I have taken a few shots which seem fine and performed a visual inspection ... but is there anything in particular I should be looking out for ?

Do you feel there's something wrong?

Have you tested your other lenses?

I mean, just general use will tell you tbh.

well there was a mark on the glass on the body side but I got rid of it ... it looks perfect ... I just was wondering if there are special checks given the return policy of Albert ... better to find problems now then later ...

Simon, do the pictures come out upside down? I heard that there was a batch from our eastern friends that had this problem.

Simon, if you turn the lens the wrong way around then you can see it - try it!!

Actually it seems a bit on the soft side to me ... I may test it with a focussing screen ...
