    Hi,
I'm thinking of doing a website that is based on google maps. Does anyone know any good developers who specialise?

    Cheers

I have experience in developing Java apps and website modules that incorporate google maps but it depends on what you want.

It would be a fairly complicated build...not just a straightforward 'we are here' type incorporation.

I have experience building web-apps using both Google maps and the Virtual Earth SDK sets however as Call_me_al asked I'd need to know more about what you are looking to build.

well how about a bit of detail?

Sorry but I dont really want to put up too much detail about this. Basically, it will be a site based on google maps that will require a lot of google map expertise because the map will have to be used in very specific ways. It is likely to be a big build and I'd want to go with an established development team as opposed to an individual designer.

im gonna guess it will be something along the lines of being able to map your online poker players to a google map city location so other users can see what city they are from?

No this has nothing to do with poker :)

well my experience with gm was building a system for tracking the movement and speed of a vehicle using gps and plotting this automatically with info on speed, lng and lat and time across an embedded map.

if this helps in any way let me know...

Hi, just so ye know (I'm guessing you're an expert at this stage al) but from my experience for Ireland yahoo maps has a much greater functionality! Google hasnt updated the resolution for Ireland in a while and is missing streets for smaller towns.
