Minimizing firefox

    Everytime i minimize Firefox to the taskbar for more than about 15 minutes it won't reopen in a window, it will only open if i right click and select maximize. Is there any to stop this from happening? It's annoying the shyte out of me!

    You can just alt+Tab to it which is quicker anyway.

    Don't know why that should happen though so I don't know how to fix the issue. Does it only happen with Firefox. Try leaving another application for more than 15 minutes and then maximising it to see if its a windows or firefox problem.

    It only seems to happen with firefox Brim, everything else pops back up as it was. I wonder could it be one of the firefox add ons? I run forecast fox and the earthquake one. I'll try it without them and see what happens. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know, thanks.

    Nope, never happens to me.

    And I'm using Firefox on both Windows and Linux. Must be an add-on.

    Could be an extension, you could try Firefox safe mode and see if the problem persists.

    You could also try asking over at Mozilla Zine forums, one other thing you could do is a clean profile delete your current one (backup bookmarks etc) and create a fresh one as something could be corrupted.

    Thanks for the replies, will check out the links, I have noticed that it's happening with the Meteor homepage open, when my login times out, the minimized page seems to maximize invisibly, if that makes sense, as in, you can see the outline of the browser expanding to full page. From that point on you can only access the minimized page by right clicking, alt tab won't work. Which wouldn't be a problem if i could restore it to a window, it will only allow me to restore to full screen.
