Went into town yesterday, looking around for new Dino Jr. album, Beyond.

Didn't have it anywhere! Tower Records said they'd have it in this Friday, but it should have been out last week I thought.

At last, today I finally found a copy in Virgin, but it was €18 unsealed. Thanks but no thanks... I like the plastic foil on my new CD. :)

So I guess I'll have to wait 'til the weekend to review.

Really looking forward to getting this on my hands too. Think I'll have to order it on the net though.:)

Just got this in tower records on Friday. Brilliant album. Definately one of their best.

I have given this about 10 spins over the past week, but it isn't doing it for me.

The music is much more akin to the post-Barlow DJ albums, and even the J Mascis and the Fog stuff. On the other hand, Lou's songs are so amazingly Sebadoh its unreal (not that it's a bad thing)....from the first chord it's obvious. I guess that's what happens when J and Lou go different ways musically and come back 15 yrs later with their new music.

I guess it was too much to expect them to re-ignite the passion of YLAOM and Bug which they made about 15 yrs ago.

For completeness reasons, "Beyond" is a must for any DJ fan. But I would not recommend it for any other reason. If anyone want to explore DJ, I'd recommend (in this order):
    • You're Living all over me
    • Green Mind
    • Bug
    • Where You Been

Still, it was good to have my ear drums damaged by DJ in the Warwick in Galway in December !
