Buying Private - Mechanic available to check?

    Hi

    Looking to buy (used) at the moment. I have seen a few cars in the galway advertiser this week that look tempting from private sellers. Thing is I dont know a mechanic to bring along to check them out.

    Does anyone know or recommend a mechanic that does this?
    Or is it best to try and get hold of the car and bring it to a mechanic?

    Galway city area by the way...
